CONFUSED PERCEPTIONS, ILLUMINATING ANALYSES
LUCA MELDOLESI, PETER LANG 2019
Taken together, the essays collected here are intended to represent a distinct way of observing the extraordinary intellectual revolution that Albert Hirschman built up over time. It is a perspective that can only be acquired through hard work and in practical-theoretical surges—starting out from the Mezzogiorno, from Italy, from the Euro-Mediterranean area (and beyond). This being the case, these essays would suggest that other scholars and practitioners should use different perspectives. This is because Hirschman intended (and his legacy intends) that a change in the viewpoint from which reality is observed is something that concerns everybody—no one is left out.
